Welcome back! We hope everyone had a great February School Vacation Week. We are excited to get back to work. Here's some Phelps happenings from before break and coming iup. Enjoy!

Wally the Green Monster visited Phelps School on February 11 as a part of our school wide celebration for World Read Aloud Day. Wally and his friend Big League Brian provided our students with a presentation that focused on the love of reading.

Wally the Green Monster has been the beloved mascot of the Boston Red Sox for the past 27 years. Wally came out of the Green Monster wall on April 13th, 1997 out in the left field of Fenway Park. He has spent endless hours since that time bring smiles to endless fans faces during every home and Spring Training Red Sox Game. When Wally is not at the park, he is out in the community visiting schools, hospitals and any community event he can attend in the New England area and all over the United States. Wally loves to make new friends everyday and cheer on his Boston Red Sox!

It was great to have Wally in Rockland on Tuesday. A special thank you to Mrs. Coveney, who wrote the grant that made it possible to bring Wally The Green Monster to Phelps School.

This year, Phelps Elementary grade level concerts will take place during the school day, one per month, beginning this month. Please see the schedule for concerts below. Due to parking and school lunch start times, we ask parents to leave immediately after the program ends. Looking forward to beautiful music filling our cafeteria stage!
