CES Weekly Communicator
Issue #36: May 10, 2024
Principal Corner
Good afternoon, Chapelfield families.
This was a busy week! We had several field trips, PAWS breakfast, PBIS celebrations, learning communities, and Middle School West readers came to visit kindergarten. Today, we ended the week with our April celebration for PAWS. We recognized students who WORKED HARD and SHOWED RESPECT! In addition, we celebrated Mrs. Gilzow for WORKING COLLABORATIVELY and Mrs. Long for having a STUDENTS FIRST mindset.
The best part of today was our Learning Communities that we call PACKS. Teachers shared a passion project with their packs. I was able to offer tennis class to 2 classes with my own tennis coach! Other students made friendship bracelets, walked on the track, played soccer, took a nature walk, painted, science boxes, worked out, played games or made crafts to name a few activities. Please ask your child what they did. We have some talented educators at Chapelfield who help make sure each child feels connected at our school.
I hope to see many of you at the PTO carnival tonight. Please have an adult with your child for supervision. That will make the event run smoothly.
Have a great weekend.
Sincerely,
Nikki Miller
