Have a Fantastic Summer Break!
Dear Boone Meadow Families
We made it!
There were so many questions and wonderings about how the school year would unfold when we planned throughout the summer and then opened the doors for the 20-21 school year. You've seen the sports segment where the marathon runner crosses the finish line, exhausted from the journey with legs collapsing beneath them. There were times it felt like that this year. However, the encouragement from you (families/PTO) and the positive "CAN DO" attitude of our staff, allowed us to cross the finish line in victory with hands held high in celebration. We can all agree it has been quite a year. We can also say we finished the 20-21 school year race with a sense of accomplishment and evidence of student growth.
Be sure to note the important information below before unplugging for the summer.
PTO:
- Firstly, note the information below regarding the board next year.
- Secondly, PTO was amazing in your unwavering support this year. The success of the "Dine for Dollars" events was astounding. (Kona Ice in the neighborhoods on the last day...brilliant! The turnout was staggering!) We finished our last days well, and so much of it is attributed to your care and attention to our team.
Yearbooks still available: It's not too late! We still have a few extra yearbooks available on a first come, first serve basis. $15 made payable to BME. Note the office hours below should you want to pick one up.
Registration for the 2021-2022 School Year: We are down to about a dozen registrations remaining! That's pretty amazing.
Simply login to the PowerSchool Parent Portal, select the student and complete registration. Registration information is vital to our ability to maintain records for safety purposes and in accordance with state and local agencies.
Please complete this registration by Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

Vaccine Survey
The IU Fairbanks School of Public Health, in partnership with the Indiana Department of Health, is gathering information from parents regarding attitudes and COVID-19 vaccine intentions for school age children. The survey is anonymous and will gather valuable information that will assist in planning efforts for the upcoming school year. Superintendents and/or principals were encouraged to share the survey link with the parents and caregivers of students.
Kindergarten Registration
Keep spreading the word...Kindergarten registration (and all new student registration) for the 21-22 school year is now live. Early registration is an important component to our planning process, so the sooner families register, the better prepared we can be to welcome the class of 2034.
You can access the registration by clicking the link below, or accessing from our websites.

Diversity Coalition
ZCS and the Zionsville Diversity Coalition partnered to create a list of mentor texts that support our elementary adopted literacy curriculum. Books donated will be placed in our elementary classrooms for teachers to use and to offer our students mirrors (seeing themselves), windows (seeing others), and doors (opportunities to learn about differences) because in ZCS, EVERYONE BELONGS!
