Dear OLVCS Parents and Friends,
Tomorrow is our last school Mass at 9:00 am. It has been a gift to celebrate Mass as a school community. Fr. George is a blessing from his support of the school, to his excellent, entertaining homilies, and everything in between. It truly is one of my favorite times of the week. Parents are always welcome!
As a reminder we are OFF this Friday, and of course on Memorial Day.
* Please note that our last day of school is Wednesday, June 5th @ 11:00 am. Lunch is not served, and we do not have ASAP. Please start making your plans, and if there is a change in your child’s dismissal plan please let your teacher know.
Final Dates:
Thursday, May 23rd: 9:00 am Last School Mass
Thursday, May 23rd, Middle School Dance
Friday - Monday: May 24th- May 27th: No School
Thursday, May 30th: Field Day
Friday, May 31st: 8th Grade Mass of Blessing 6:30 PM
Wednesday, June 5th: Last day of school; dismissal @ 11:00; No Lunch & No ASAP

There will be a Eucharistic Procession on the feast of Corpus Christi.
- Directly following the Saturday, June 1st anticipated 5:00pm mass.
- All first communicants are invited to wear their First Communion Attire and march with the procession.
What is Corpus Christi?
Also known as the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, this feast honors Jesus Christ, Really, Truly and Substantially Present under the appearances of bread and wine. This Presence happens through the change which the Church calls transubstantiation (“change of substance”), when at the Consecration of the Mass, the priest says the words which Christ Himself pronounced over bread and wine, “This is My Body,” “This is the chalice of My Blood,” “Do this in remembrance of Me.”
