Happy Friday!
It was another great week at Camelview. Our littlest learners are working hard to learn all their phonics skills so they can become strong readers, and to increase their number sense so that they become great mathematicians. Our older learners are working hard on multiplication, division, and their application in real-life. They are also working on central ideas and points of view in reading. Itβs awesome to see and hear all they are learning.
Today was our Student of the Month Lunches. Congratulations to the students recognized this month. Thank you to all the families that were able to join for lunch and help us celebrate these students.

Fue otra gran semana en Camelview. Nuestros alumnos mΓ‘s pequeΓ±os estΓ‘n trabajando duro para aprender todas sus habilidades fonΓ©ticas para que puedan convertirse en buenos lectores y aumentar su sentido numΓ©rico para convertirse en grandes matemΓ‘ticos. Nuestros alumnos mayores estΓ‘n trabajando duro en la multiplicaciΓ³n, la divisiΓ³n y su aplicaciΓ³n en la vida real. TambiΓ©n estΓ‘n trabajando en ideas centrales y puntos de vista en la lectura. Es increΓble ver y escuchar todo lo que estΓ‘n aprendiendo.
Hoy fue nuestro almuerzo del Estudiante del Mes. Felicitaciones a los estudiantes reconocidos este mes. Gracias a todas las familias que pudieron unirse al almuerzo y ayudarnos a celebrar a estos estudiantes.

What a week! Hero Night was a blast, Panda Express was delicious, Spirit week was so fun, a teacher appreciation breakfast was appreciated, a bookfair that was a delight, and a quick coffee chat was informative! WHEW!

Building Emotional Intelligence with RULER
Have you heard of RULER? Itβs a powerful framework that helps us understand, use, and manage our emotions effectively. As a school, We are excited to share how RULER is helping our students develop crucial social and emotional skills.
What is RULER?
RULER is an acronym for:
- Recognizing our emotions
- Understanding our emotions
- Labeling our emotions
- Expressing our emotions
- Regulating our emotions
By teaching students these skills, we empower them to:
- Build stronger relationships
- Improve academic performance
- Reduce stress and anxiety
- Make better decisions
- Resolve conflicts peacefully
RULER is being integrated into our school culture through:
- Classroom lessons: Teachers incorporate RULER into their lessons to teach students about emotions and how to manage them.
- Social-emotional learning activities: Students participate in activities that help them practice RULER skills, such as mindfulness exercises, role-playing, and group discussions.
- Positive behavior interventions and supports: RULER is used to teach students positive behavior strategies and to address challenging behavior.
By fostering emotional intelligence, weβre creating a more positive and supportive learning
environment for all students.
Our cafeteria can provide birthday boxes at a very low cost.
