Dear Parents/Carers,
As we come to the close of yet another year, I would like to extend my thanks for all the support that you have given school over the past twelve months. The school calendar year is like no other at Larks Hill and despite being a very small school with a small staff, we strive to do as much as we can for all of the wonderful pupils we have. That said, some of the things that we do would not be possible without your help and support. Thank you for sending in your kind donations, for supporting with home learning and for coming along to any event we put on. I would also like to thank everyone who gives up their time to come in and read with the children, help set up and run our events and help with trips and visits. This support is invaluable and much appreciated. We are always looking for more people to support us, so please do get in touch if there is anything you feel you can offer us.
This Week
Nativities
Elf Run
Singing at the Buttercross, Pontefract.
Singing for the Barracks Community Association
Next year, some of our pupils will be involved with an Intergenerational Project run by the Wakefield District Housing Association. The work will support the residents and tenants on the Barracks Estate with litter picking, bulb/tree planting as well as other community initiatives.
On Thursday morning, the Larks Hill choir walked over the Barracks Estate and sang for some of the residents. We are very much looking forward to starting this project and to supporting to make a difference in our local community in the coming months.

100% Attendance Badges
The pupils at Larks Hill really enjoy wearing badges. This year, we have introduced badges for 100% attendance and a badge can be received once a term.
There are 89 pupils who have received a 100% Attendance badge for the Autumn Term. A huge ‘Well Done’ to these pupils and their families.
We look forward to seeing who receives a badge for the Spring Term!
On a final note, all there is left to say is please stay safe over the festive period. Enjoy spending some cherished time with your families and have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!
Yours Sincerely,
Mrs Adams
