Principal's Post
Hello Main Families,
I cannot believe it’s already second semester! I wanted to take a moment to extend thanks to each and every one of you. Your continued support and partnership are invaluable to the success of our students, and we are excited about the opportunities and growth that lie ahead.
The new year is a time for setting new goals, embracing challenges, and fostering the qualities that will contribute to lifelong success. We will continue our emphasis on these skills in our daily activities and special programming.
I would like to invite each of you to our family dance on February 8 from 6-8 PM at Trebein Elementary. We will have music, food, raffle prizes, a silent disco, and a fun photography station. It will be a blast!
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. Here's to a successful second semester!

Creek Gives Back!
Main Elementary School collected excess Halloween candy, with the help of the entire Beavercreek community, for the 7th year in a row. Students in the fifth grade at Main checked, sorted, and weighed all of the donated candy.
In total, the school collected 327 pounds of candy.
Students in 5th grade put together over 150 goodie bags for all of the first responders in Beavercreek. In addition, 8 large candy jars were made to be displayed at the 5 fire stations and the police station in Beavercreek as a part of this year’s “One District, One Mission, One Creek” district-wide character education program. In addition, the Creek Little Food Pantry in front of Main could be restocked with pretzels and other snacks that were donated with the candy.
This year, about 100 student-created letters and pictures were sent to Operation Gratitude in California to be distributed to troops and veterans.
Lastly, approximately 75 pounds of the candy were donated to local Veteran organizations, including the American Legion Post 763 in Beavercreek and VFW 8312 Beavercreek Memorial Post.
This year’s program was truly a success and shows how we are One District, One Mission, One Creek!

Attendance & Office Information
To report an absence or late arrival, please call the absence line, 937-429-7588 option 1 - or send an email to mainattendance@gocreek.org. Include your child’s name, teacher & reason for the absence or late arrival. Please bring or send in doctor/dentist notes from appointments within 5 school days when your child returns to school.
All parents, guardians, and visitors will need to check in at the security window first before entering the building and to sign students in and out of school. Please have your government issued ID and present this at the check in window. All visitors who will be coming into the main building will need to have their driver's license scanned at the window.
If you receive a missed call from Main, please take a few moments to check your voicemail. Most times there is no emergency, and someone has left you a message. The office does not know where to direct your call if you call back immediately without first checking your message.
When sending notes, lunch money and misc. payments to school, please include your child’s first and last name, the date, and the teacher’s name. For payments, also include what the check/cash is for.
Limit the bringing of items forgotten by students to urgent items. Items must be left on the cart in the vestibule. Stickers are provided to label items with student name and homeroom.
Free Tutoring Opportunity
Tutoring at the Beavercreek Community Library will start September 4 and is held on Wednesdays from 4-7pm and Saturdays 10am-1pm. The tutoring is free to students in grades K-12 and they do NOT have to be Beavercreek students. With that said, it is a drop in style and parents do not need to make an appointment. All of the tutors are either current or retired teachers. Students may bring their own materials, but we also have a plethora of activities for students as well.
