We are continuing a tradition of kindness and community spirit with our pajama drive again this year! Last year, we were able to provide a pair of pajamas to every student at a school here in London.

Let's come together again to spread warmth and joy as we collect pajamas for those who need a little extra cheer at this time of year. Our pajama drive starts on Monday, November 25th and runs for two weeks, ending on Friday, December 6th. Please donate a pair (or more!) of pajamas in the same size that your child wears. (ie: A student in grade 8 will be providing a pair of pajamas to another student in grade 8.) Thank you for your ongoing support and compassion. Together, we can make this season magical for everyone!

Thank you to our grade 8 leaders Gabby, Carly, Declan and Keenan for creating the poster, writing announcements, collecting pyjamas as they arrive and keeping a tally of totals!

All students in grades 5-8 are welcome to join Mr. MacKay and Mr. Petrillo for coding club every Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 upstairs in Mr. MacKay's room. Our last club meet will be on December 11th.

December 4th is going to be an exciting night! Join us for our Holiday concert, showcasing the Primary Choir, Grade 4-8 Choir, JD Band and the classes of Mrs. Hicks and Mrs. Sims.

Following the concert, everyone is invited upstairs to our amazing silent auction. This is a wonderful opportunity to browse and bid on some amazing items, all the while supporting our grade 8 students in their endevour to raise money for Graduation and their year end trip. Note: if you own a business or would like to contribute to our upcoming silent auction, we'd love to hear from you! Please contact Denyse at d.woods@tvdsb.ca by next Friady, November 29th with any ideas or suggestions to help in supporting our grade 8's.

While upstairs, please be sure to check out the Scholastic Book Fair which will be open in the library, with all proceeds supporting resources for our library.

Students in both Kindergarten classes, Mrs. Hicks' class and Mrs. Sims' class got the opportunity to plant seed bulbs in the JD garden this week. We look forward to seeing Grape Hyacinth bloom in the Spring! A special thank you to Jennifer Hocking for organizing this activity and teaching our students about planting!

The grade three students had an exciting week at London Museum! They explored archaeology, discovered different types of rocks and soils and learned about the daily lives of the Haudenosaunee among other topics. Highlights included creating clay artifacts and pottery, as well as playing engaging games to reinforce their learning. What a memorable hands-on experience!

• Silent Auction following the Concert - all proceeds to support our Grade 8 graduation and year-end trip. The auction will be organized on the second floor for your participation
• Scholastic Book Fair will also be open for sales located in the library upstairs
