Primary Families,
We have had a great start to the 2024-2025 school year! Our students are finishing up learning the routines and procedure for the new school year and ready for a great year. We are excited to continue our Visible Learning journey this year. Visible Learning is based on the research of Dr. John Hattie. He is an educational researcher and has worked to determine what works best in education. He has concluded that when teachers are clear about what they are teaching and what students are learning, student achievement increases. We are in our second year with our work and have already seen an impact on student achievement. Ask your child about our learning intentions and success criteria!
ATLAS testing is next week. Please see the attached flyer with more information.
Students will come home Tuesday with an enrollment packet for you to fill out and return. This allows us to update our information here at school. Please return it as soon as possible.
T-Shirt order forms will go home Tuesday as well.
A few reminders as we head into September.

I hope you all had a wonderful summer and enjoyed lots of fun adventures with your family. We are so glad to be back this school year and have had a great start. It’s good to see all their smiling faces again.
It’s early in the year but we are already starting to see various illnesses. I am recommending that the students wash their hands periodically to help from spreading germs and encourage them to stay hydrated.
Please send a water bottle with your child if possible.
They are excited to be back and some are very anxious which is causing potty accidents. PLEASE send a change of clothes with your Kinder and first grader if possible. I am running low on clothes and would like to be prepared as much as possible.
If you have any gently used clothes you would like to donate, mainly shorts or pants sizes 5,6,7,8 I could use them in the nurse’s office.
We are starting to get lots of items in the lost & found. I do encourage you to write your child’s name on items such as lunch boxes, water bottles, jackets and all other items. If your child has something missing, please encourage them to look in the lost and found.
If your child needs to take OTC medication at school. Please have your child’s Doctor send a note with the following information:
Name, What medication and dosage and reason for medication. We asked that you send a bottle of that medication with your child's name on it and I will keep it in the medicine cabinet for them.
Thanks again and I am looking forward to a great year,
Nurse Rhonda
