Service Expansions
- AYA Youth Collective has a new Outreach Contact, Ja'Quari Bass-Moore (jbass@ayayouth.org) - he can come to your school, you can connect youth with him, and AYA will soon be extending their after school drop in hours for easier access to services
- The Hispanic Center of West Michigan has new educational services for students and families, contact Tim Marroquín (tmarroquin@hispanic-center.org), to connect students and families
- The Hispanic Center is also assisting newly arrived immigrant families, many of whom were initially in New York, Chicago, or Detroit - contact Alejandra Meza, ameza@hispanic-center.org, for assistance
NEW PD Series Coming
"Equity Essentials: Navigating Student Needs Beyond the Classroom", a transformative professional development series designed to empower educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to address the diverse needs of their students outside of traditional academic settings. In this dynamic program, teachers will explore the complexities of poverty, food justice, healthcare, and housing stability, gaining a deep understanding of how these factors impact student learning and well-being.

May 29th - Food Systems 101facilitated by Access of West MI (1pm - 3pm)

- Scam alert - people posing at Pine Rest Mental Health services online or over the phone seeking money for treatment
- Youth Action Boards in Allegan, Barry (MI Balance of State CoC) and Kent CoC are recruiting youth ages 18 - 24 who have experienced homelessness - youth are paid for their time and participation
