A Publication of St. Gabriel the Archangel School 10/2/2024
Dear Fabulous Families -
- There is a noon dismissal tomorrow, Thursday, due to conferences and no school on Friday.
- We are looking forward to seeing everyone at parent-teacher conferences tomorrow, Thursday, 1-7, and Friday, 7:30-noon. A Sign-Up Genius was sent to all parents in grades K-5 so everyone should know their conference time(s).
- For grades 6-8, conferences will be held in the gym. (Ms. Panus -7th Grade Religion Teacher - will be in the STEM Room). Middle school teachers will be sitting at tables with a table tent which has their name on it and the subject they teach. Stand in line for their table until it is your turn to conference with the teacher. Feel free to conference with one or all of your child's teachers.
- The front door, gym door, and back door will be open.
- The parking lot will be available starting at 12:45. (Gabriel Care is still occurring tomorrow afternoon, so students may be on the playground until that time.)
- Consider dropping off pet supplies to help out Francis House or a dessert to help out the Salt and Light Club during conferences Thursday and Friday. There will be a table and box outside the school office for these supplies.
- It looks like great weather for the picnic this weekend! See the schedule below. Many thanks to Amanda DeGreeff and Kevin Kozminske for helping to organize the picnic as well as all of the volunteers who make this community event happen! (There are still a few volunteer opportunities. See the Sign-Up Genius below.)
Coming home in the Wednesday yellow envelope:
- Picnic Supplies (if ordered)
- Buzz Book (if ordered)
Reminder: Submissions for the newsletter should be sent to Mrs. McEnery by noon on Monday. Graphics should be a jpg or png. In the subject line, please put "Newsletter".

Thank You Classes 2023 and 2024!
Have you noticed some recent improvements to the back schoolyard/parking lot area?
The Class of 2024 has provided our community with an outdoor drinking fountain located near the North Wing entrance of school from the parking lot. This will definitely come in handy during recess, especially on those hot weather days!
The Class of 2023 has provided our community with 6 outdoor benches and an ADA picnic table. It will be nice to have somewhere to sit, aside from the concrete ground, during recess, after school, and when there's a line for the Fish Fry!
We appreciate the generosity and give a huge, "Thank You!" to the Classes of 2023 and 2024!

In addition to the times listed on the flier below, please feel free to drop off a dessert when you come to conferences on Thursday and Friday! We will have a table set up by the front office.
