PFA News
Condit PFA is in need of Volunteers for next year in the following positions:
Fall Fundraiser Coordinator
Plan and organize a fundraiser for PFA - either in October or November. Typically, this has been the Read-a-Thon but next year we may be looking at doing something different. Possibly one large event or two smaller events. This is PFA's second largest fundraiser to help in funding all the programs and items PFA financially assists.
Please reach out to PFA Vice-President, Heather MacPherson at Heatheremacpherson@gmail.com if you are interested in volunteering.
Better Money Habits Presentation by Bank of America
Last week we had Kim Lam, the Financial Center Manager and her team from Bank of America in Claremont do their first ever interactive presentation at an Elementary school for our sixth graders! In past they have done similar Power Point Presentations but only for high school & college students. The team shared some basic facts about earning, spending & saving. They also emphasized the importance of saving money and setting long-term goals.
Our sixth graders were actively engaged during the talk and asked some great questions. They participated in doing a budgeting activity at the end of the presentation and were given a BofA souvenir to take home.
My sincere thanks to Kim Lam and her team to honor my request and do this very informative and relevant presentation for our students.

Students with Cell Phones or Messaging Devices
Students with Cell Phones or Messaging Devices
I want to encourage all of our parents who have students with cell phones or messaging devices to periodically check to review their text messages and search history. We have had several issues with kiddos having dialogue with other students on their phones that would be considered inappropriate at school.
The Claremont Educational Foundation needs your help!
CEF needs your help! The Claremont Educational Foundation (CEF) is currently hiring for a part-time administrator. It's a great opportunity for a parent who is looking for flexible part-time work that will help support our school district. Click on the link below to learn more: https://www.supportcef.com/jobs/

The 100 Mile Club in 2023-2024
100 Mile Club Information
Since 1993, 100 Mile Club® has been the elite school-based program leading the effort in the prevention of childhood inactivity and obesity across the nation. The award-winning 100 Mile Club program improves the health and well-being of children at school through daily physical activity in a noncompetitive, supportive, and fully-inclusive environment.
The 100 Mile Club is much more than just a running program. It changes lives by improving school readiness to learn, increasing student and family engagement, and creating a true “team spirit” that transforms school culture. Embracing the whole child concept, 100 Mile Club benefits the physical, social, emotional, and mental aspects of students. Condit has participated in the 100 Mile Club for over 10 years.
The goal of the 100 Mile Club is for each student to run or walk 100 miles in a school year. Dr. Malally will continue circulating through classrooms on Fridays to recognize these accomplishments, however students will initially receive a shout out to signify their 25 miles, along with an order form. Parents will have the option to purchase the 100 Mile Club incentive package for $15, which includes the t-shirt (25 miles), pencil (50 miles), wrist band (75 miles), and finally the 100 Mile Medal that is awarded at our Medal Ceremony at the end of the school year.
Our students in K-3 will participate on our south field track from 1:00 - 1:45 PM. All students in grades 1 - 6 who would like to earn additional miles for 100 Mile Club can participate on Wednesdays from 12:00 -1:00 PM .
Our next Saturday 100 Mile Club Event will take place at Condit on Saturday, May 11th from 9:00 - 10:00 AM. We hope to see you there!
