6th Grade Orientation 8/8/23 - 8:35 a.m. to 4:37 p.m.
Royal Families,
Starting sixth grade is an incredible adventure! Scholars will discover that middle school is a time of growth, self-discovery, and new opportunities. August 8th is the time to RISE and ROAR for the first time! We will start with a student assembly in the main gym at 8:35 a.m.
Our dedicated team of teachers is committed to providing each scholar with a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. Remember, it's okay to feel a mix of excitement and nervousness as you begin this new chapter. Rest assured that we believe in your potential and are confident that you will excel in all that you set out to achieve.
Parents interested in learning more about Quist and adjusting to middle school can attend a 30-minute parent orientation by the hug and go lane with Mr. McMillan and our PTA President, Anne Bromley.
This is a full-day schedule (8:35 a.m. – 4:37 p.m.) for all 6th graders. Bus transportation will be provided, if your student qualifies for a bus route.
Orientation is an opportunity for new ROYALS to adjust to the building and schedules before the whole student body joins them the following day.
- Bring a notebook and something to write with (please wait to bring supplies on the 9th).
- All students should enter the main entrance (behind the flag pole) and go directly to the main gym. Our WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) Leaders will be greeting students and helping direct them where to go.
- Students can pack a sack lunch, or they can get breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria for no cost.
Bizzi Bee Espresso Truck will be on campus for all parents to enjoy! Open to the public 8-10am.
