Falcon's Nest
Alcova Elementary School
August 2, 2024
We are back for the 24-25 school year and we are excited about the impact we will make on the students and community at Alcova. Our teachers have worked so hard to set up their classrooms, attend professional learning, and plan exciting learning experiences for your child. It is truly an act of the heart. If you get a chance, please let them know how much you appreciate their work.
It was so nice to see so many families visit on Open House. This is a great opportunity for parents and students to meet their child’s teacher, see their classroom, and take a peek at the daily experience of your Alcova student. Thank you for completing the transportation surveys. Making sure we send your child home via the correct path is a top priority.
We appreciate your patience as we work with your child to establish routines for this school year. We will start lunch visitors on Wednesday, September 4th. If you wish to celebrate your child’s August birthday, we suggest featuring them on our Marquee. See the Marquee flyer for details.
We have some important dates to remember for August.
August 5th- First day of school
August 12th-16th- I-Ready Diagnostic Assessment (all students)
August 17th- Cluster Night at Cool Ray Field 6:00 pm
August 22nd- Curriculum Night 4:45 pm
I am filled with excitement and anticipation for the opportunities that lie ahead. Our school is not just a place of learning; it is a vibrant community where each of us has the potential to make a significant impact. Together, let’s make this school year one of growth, achievement, and positive impact. I am confident that, with our collective effort, we will achieve great things.
Your Principal,
Jacquetta Baldwin
