Good Afternoon, OMS Families,

We had two fantastic days back at the nest! Our full-day kindergarteners did AMAZING! Our 1st through 5th graders are relearning expectations and adapting to many changes (3 days a week of PE, 3 lunch shifts, new classrooms and teachers, and entering/exiting different doors). We are so proud of OLIVE our owls! We appreciate your patience and support during arrival and dismissal to ensure the safety of our students.

As a reminder:

Early Dismissal or Change in End of Day Plans -- please send a handwritten note for the teacher on the day of the change (i.e. not taking the bus, don't go to CAP, grandma is picking up). Even if the teacher is already aware of the change, it's a very helpful reminder for them. Also, if the teacher is unexpectedly absent, the guest teacher would know of your child's plans.
If you have a change in plans and your child is already at school, please call the main office at 847-398-4282 to speak with Mrs. Tucker or Mrs. Crimmins and they will let the teacher know. Please note that calls will be made to the classrooms at 3:00 p.m.

We hope you have a wonderful, long weekend. As a reminder, there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 2nd. We will see everyone back on Tuesday!

Curriculum Night - Parents Only

Thursday, September 12th

Please join us on Thursday, September 12, for Curriculum Night from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This evening is a parents-only event in which classroom teachers share information on the grade-level curriculum and classroom expectations. Classroom teachers will share specific times they will present in their communication next week. Grade levels present at different times as a way to help parents/guardians attend multiple sessions for multiple kids.
