Phoenix-Talent Schools is inviting applications for our Educational Equity Advisory Committee (EEAC). This committee supports our shared commitment to fostering a culture of care—where all students feel connected, supported, and ready to thrive.

The EEAC advises the Superintendent and School Board by offering input on how district decisions and school experiences affect our students and families, especially when challenges arise. By listening to different voices in our community, the committee helps ensure our schools are safe, welcoming, and responsive to the needs of all.

The committee will include family members, school staff, students, and community members from across the district and will be selected by the Superintendent.

The committee will meet four times during the school year, and members are asked to commit to serving a two-year term to promote continuity and meaningful engagement. (2025-2026 and 2026-2027).

Call For 8th Grade Performers!!!

Do you have a talent you’d like to share? Whether you play a musical instrument, sing, recite a poem, or have another inspirational piece to present, we invite you to participate in the 8th Grade Recognition Ceremony.

To join in the fun, simply stop by the office and let us know what you would like to perform.

As part of the preparation, all performers will be expected to preview their acts for the Principal ahead of the event. This not only ensures that the event runs smoothly but also gives you a chance to receive valuable feedback and encouragement.

TMS would like to take this opportunity to recognize 4 outstanding students who have demonstrated the value of wisdom at TMS and beyond.

Often defined as the ability to make sound judgments and decisions based on knowledge and experience, wisdom involves having the problem-solving skills that help them to analyze and find solutions.

Other important factors of wisdom are showing consideration and understanding towards peers and educators, the capacity to reflect on past experiences and apply lessons learned to future situations, and providing guidance or setting a positive example for others.

Please join us in congratulating the following students who have been selected as the Students of the Month for the value of Wisdom.

These students will be honored at a luncheon on May 14th by the Phoenix Rotary Club.

TMS is thrilled to announce the exceptional academic accomplishments of our students, as 212 scholars have earned a place on the Q3 Honor Roll.

The honorees are comprised of students from various grades, showcasing the breadth of talent and dedication across the school:

• 50 eighth-grade students
• 73 seventh-grade students
• 89 sixth-grade students

Next week, these diligent scholars will be recognized with a certificate and a special reward at school, celebrating their hard work and achievements.

This remarkable achievement highlights the dedication, hard work, and perseverance of our students as they strive for excellence in their educational pursuits.

To qualify for Honor Roll, students must maintain a 3.5 or higher grade point average (GPA) and demonstrate consistent effort and commitment to their studies. Part of achieving this is regular attendance and participation in classes. This achievement is also a reflection of the supportive environment cultivated by teachers, staff, and families, who play an integral role in encouraging and guiding students towards their academic endeavors.

We congratulate all honorees and look forward to celebrating their success next week!

The TMS Leadership Class is hosting the final dance of the school year.

• When: Wednesday May 21st
• Time: 2:30 pm - 3:45 pm
• Entry Fee: $3
• Dress: Casual
• Snacks will be available to purchase

To apply for a fee waiver, stop by the TMS front office or TMS counseling center.

IMPORTANT:

• Students are expected to stay on campus between 2:20 and 2:30.
• Students will NOT be allowed to leave and re-enter the building.
• Transportation is NOT provided.
