Dear Educator,

Regardless of what subject you teach, computer science is foundational knowledge for all students in the 21st century. Incorporating it in your classroom will give your students a huge leg up. Besides, this is a subject the kids love learning.

With the help of Code.org, we are providing this no cost, one-day workshop for teachers. We hope you will join us on November 4th. Space is limited, so reserve your spot now.

What’s in a workshop?

In-person instruction from an experienced computer science facilitator, including an intro to computer science, pedagogy, overview of the online curriculum, teacher dashboard, and strategies for teaching “unplugged” classroom activities. Over 15,000 teachers have participated in a workshop and the majority say it’s the best PD they’ve ever attended.

All costs are covered by Code.org

There is no charge for these workshops. You’ll also receive (at no cost to you):

• Certificate of completion (which could count for Professional Development credit)

Great Big Story circumnavigates the globe in search of some of the most unusual and awe-inspiring libraries collecting more than just books. They begin in Alaska at a particularly "macabre" library checking out preserved and taxidermied animals, head on over to China to kick back in a surreal, infinite reading room, and get whiff of history at the library of smells.
