Hello Woodsy Owls,
Welcome to the 2025 school year! We’re so excited to kick off another year filled with fun, learning, and growth. We can’t wait to see all of the amazing things your children will accomplish this year. As we get started, we’d like to share three values that will help make this year even more special: kindness, attendance, and reading!
Kindness is the foundation of everything we do at Sierra Hills. When students show kindness to one another, it creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels safe and appreciated. By practicing kindness, we help our students build strong friendships, learn empathy, and work together as a community. Encouraging your child to be kind not only makes school a better place, but it helps them develop important social skills that will last a lifetime.
Attendance plays a big role in your child’s success. When students come to school every day, they have the chance to join in all the fun activities, learn something new, and build connections with their classmates and teachers. The more they’re in class, the more they’re able to stay on track and enjoy the excitement of learning something new each day. We’re here to make every school day count!
Reading is the key to everything! Whether it’s diving into a fun story, learning new facts, or solving puzzles, reading helps children grow in so many ways. The more your child reads, the better they get at understanding new ideas, solving problems, and communicating. Reading opens doors to endless possibilities, both in school and beyond, and we’re excited to see your child’s reading skills soar this year!
It truly takes a village.
