Five Good Things in Spring
January 12, 2025
Our first week back has been absolutely fantastic! ๐ Itโs been such a joy to see our incredible teachers back in action, doing what they do bestโeducating and inspiring our students. ๐ Classrooms are buzzing with excitement, students are engaged, and the smiles are everywhere!
We are so excited for the great things our students and community will do in 2025!
When emergencies strike, our District Reunification Task Force (DRTF) comes together to prioritize safety and care. Reunification is the process we activate to ensure students are safely reunited with their guardians during natural disasters, active threats, or evacuation emergencies. These rockstars work to ensure our plans are solid and our families feel supported during challenging times. โค๏ธ Your hard work doesnโt go unnoticed!
The Westfield Mustangs continue their impressive ride by sending several players to the Houston Bayou Bowl! The game is an all-star game for football players in the greater Houston area and our Mustangs came in and made a huge impact to help their team to victory! Youโve made your school and district so proud, and we canโt wait to see whatโs next for each of you. Keep aiming high and leading the way! ๐ช
Our students are making waves at the 2nd Annual FBI Teen Academy, joining peers from Houston-area schools to explore the exciting world of law enforcement! ๐ Over 70 high school students are participating in this amazing January program, learning from FBI agents, engaging in hands-on activities, and exploring career opportunities in public safety. ๐๐
AP Euro students at Wunsche high school kicked off the new year with Unit 6 with The Urban Game, blending history, creativity, and literature into one exciting activity! Students designed cities on paper all while connecting to passages from Charles Dickens, their drawings now proudly line the classroom walls. What a fun and interactive way to introduce the new unit to the new year! ๐
Spring ISD will be celebrating Board Appreciation Month throughout the Month of January! Weโre grateful for our dedicated Board Members who are committed to advocate for the success and growth of Spring ISD. Thank you for your commitment to making our district better every day!
