The 2020 - 2021 Student Course Selection & Registration process begins January 21st. A step-by-step timeline has been created to help students and parents navigate through the process. Curriculum Night is Monday, January 27, 2020 at the McCoy Performing Arts Center from 6:00-8:00 pm. High School and current 8th grade families are encouraged to attend.

Students will take the Hanover Social Emotional Learning Survey on January 22, 2020 during Eagle Period. This survey is given to all high school students to help collect data that allows us to assess and adjust programs to meet the learning needs of everyone. Please click here if you do not want your child to participate in the survey and return the completed form to Mrs. Santantonio in the High School Office no later than Tuesday, January 21, 2020.

Beginning this fall, New Albany High School, in partnership with Franklin University and Eastland-Fairfield Career Center, will be offering a new Cybersecurity pathway for rising 11th grade students. This pathway consists of four classes taken over two years that gives students the ability to advance in a growing career field while earning potential college credit and industry credentials. Students and parents in the class of 2022 are invited to attend an informational meeting on January 22 in the High School Jefferson Room at 6:00 p.m.

New Albany High School will hold our second annual Wellness Weekend for all students over President's weekend, February 15-18, 2020. This is a weekend of no homework, no projects, no papers, and no activities to help everyone relax and reset in the middle of the second quarter.

Learn how to earn college credits! On January 30, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at Ohio Dominican University, families will be provided essential information regarding the state and district College Credit Plus programs.

Parent Teacher Conferences are an important part of the educational process. Meeting with your child's teachers can highlight academic growth and determine areas for improvement. Teachers welcome communication at any time during the school year, and conferences offer specific opportunities to discuss your child's progress.

Winter Parent Teacher Conferences will be held Thursday, February 6 and Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. Pickatime scheduling will be available on January 28. Please watch for an email with Pickatime scheduling details coming soon.

Families of seniors, please visit Senior Central on the school website to get important information and details regarding the class of 2020 including graduation, service learning, senior portraits, school fees and more.

It is never too early to order the memories that will be with you for a lifetime. Although the year is new, make sure you have all of the memories that are part of the 2019-2020 school year simply by purchasing a 2020 yearbook that is currently in production. Sales are open now until May 1, 2020. To have a name stamped on the book cover, order no later than 30 April, 2020. Prices are as follows:

$70.00 until November 18

$75.00 until December 1

$80.00 after December 1 – until sales end May 1, 2020.

Talent Show – Each year, the NAHS PTO produces an evening of singing, dancing, music and more featuring our high school students called That’s Entertainment! We had a packed house at the McCoy on Friday evening to see the unbelievable talent of our students! A special thanks to the director, Melissa Gould, for creating this event so our students can share their talents. We couldn’t have done it without the parent volunteers – Jennifer Swincicki, Katie Roeger, Jen Miriello, Linda Lee, Lisa Freedman, Mabel Brown, and Amy Thomas. Also, thanks to our student volunteers – Matthew Thomas, Mackenzie Biemer, Alayna Driggs, Ashley Clinger, and Nadia Yingling. With everyone’s help, we were able to raise $2,600 to support teacher grants, student scholarships, etc.
