- Adjunto encontrará nuestro calendario de exámenes modificado para las próximas dos semanas.
Safety Concern with Chromebooks
LTUSD families,
We've become aware of a very worrying trend circulating on TikTok that encourages students to insert items like pencil lead, staples, and metal into the charging ports of their Chromebooks, with the goal of making them spark and smoke. We want to emphasize in the strongest possible terms that intentionally causing sparks or smoke with an electronic device like a Chromebook creates a significant and very real risk of fire. This kind of action could not only damage the device beyond repair but could also lead to a dangerous situation with the potential for serious harm. We urge you to have an important conversation with your children about the extreme dangers of this trend and the vital importance of using their electronic devices safely and responsibly. (Please note - families are liable for repairs or replacement of chromebooks if the child's actions are intentional to damage or destroy their assigned chromebook.)

Get ready for some family fun!

2024-2025 End of Year Activity Eligibility
With many end of year field trips coming up we wanted to review criteria for participation in these activities.
The criteria for all end of year activities for all grade levels is as outlined in our code of conduct. This includes class field trips and 8th grade BBQ. (This does not include promotion.)
1. No Fs
2. Not on the Social Probation list.
1. No Fs
Any student with a failing grade after June 6th will be placed on the social probation list.
Parents and students should monitor grades throughout the end of the year utilizing Aeries.
2. Social Probation
A student earns this status by violating the school's Code of Conduct and P.R.I.D.E. expectations, school board policy, or the law with the resulting consequence being assigned OCR and/or out of school, suspensions. Additionally, students with unpaid fines earn Social Probation status.
Students may remove themselves from “social probation” status by completing an approved “accountability project” as assigned by the SRO office or paying fines.
Please be aware that “accountability projects” can take in excess of two weeks.
Any student still on “Social Probation” will be excluded from end of year extra curricular field trips/activities.
A social probation list will be posted outside the SRO beginning Monday, April 21st.
Students wanting to complete an “accountability project” should contact Ms. Lupe in the SRO to set up a meeting with Mr. Lubrano and Mr. Brown.
