Admission to the Framingham Youth Police Academy is open to Framingham residents, students within the Framingham & Keefe Tech School Districts, and immediate family members of the Framingham Police Department.
Students will be eligible if they enter the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades in Fall 2024 and will not turn 18 before August 3rd, 2024. Admission will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. We expect the class to fill rapidly, so only applicants willing to commit to the entire program will be considered.
The 2024 Framingham Youth Police Academy is scheduled for the week of July 29th – August 2nd, with graduation on Friday, August 2nd at 2:30 pm. at Loring Arena.
Parking and U Turns
I have reached out to the Framingham Police Department to ask them to monitor Michael Road and Elm Street during arrival and dismissal. They will be monitoring to ensure people don't make a u turn on Elm Street and that cars are only parked on the even side of Michael Road. Thank you for your attention to this. It is important we all follow these rules so we keep our Cameron students safe.
Badges
VERY IMPORTANT! All FPS middle and high school students are required to wear their badge each day. Students are being asked to take their badge off at the end of the day and put it in their bag so they can put it on when they get to school the next day. Grade 6 students have been given new yellow lanyards and grade 7 has been given green lanyards. The 8th grade will continue to wear their blue lanyards.
Please reinforce this with your children.
