Principal's Message

👋 Dear Booth Hill Families,

As we approach this joyous holiday season, I want to extend my warmest wishes to each of you. Regardless of the traditions you celebrate, I hope your time is filled with love and surrounded by those who are dear to you.

In my six months as a Bobcat, I've come to appreciate the incredible spirit of our school community. It is truly heartwarming to witness how we embrace and celebrate one another, honoring our diverse backgrounds and unique identities. This culture of acceptance and support is what makes Booth Hill so special.

Thank you for welcoming me into this wonderful environment. I am grateful for the connections we have made and the experiences we've shared. I hope you all have the chance to enjoy, relax, and create fond memories with your loved ones.

Student Spotlight

Our 5th Graders, led by the musical talents of Mr. Prieto, performed beautifully for the school and families on Thursday, December 19.

PTA & Father's Club

Thank you to our BHS PTA, who sponsored a PJ & Cookies Day on Friday, December 20. The added backdrop of the snow falling just made for a perfectly festive day!

Winter weather is here! Please review BHS's inclement weather adjusted schedules below to ensure you're ready for potential snow or other school day disruptions.

Delayed Opening Hours

1 ½ hour Delay – 9:50 AM – 3:20 PM
2 hour Delay – 10:20 AM – 3:20 PM
2 ½ hour Delay – 10:50 AM – 3:20 PM

Reminders

Smart Watches and Cell Phones

As many of you begin your shopping for the holiday season, please be reminded, Smart Watches and cell phones are not allowed in our elementary schools. Our technology policy requires that staff members fully monitor these devices and this is not feasible or appropriate at this age level. Further, we kindly request you have continued conversations with your child about the appropriate use of technology and social media safety. Thank you in advance for your support!

Warm Clothing for Outdoor Recess

Please be sure your child comes to school each day with a warm jacket or coat, hat, and gloves. We do try to get our students outside even in the cold weather so it is important that they are dressed properly so they can keep warm. Please remember to label all items so they can be returned if lost.

School Attendance

As a school community, we continually strive to promote regular attendance at Booth Hill. We welcome and appreciate open communication between school and home; therefore, please reach out if you need assistance with getting your child to school each day and in a timely fashion. Parent and school partnerships enable us to best support our students to ensure success at school.

"Chronically absent is defined as "a child who accumulated a total number of absences at any time during the school year that is equal to or greater than ten percent (10%) of the total number of days that such student has been enrolled at the school during the school year."
