October
Volunteer of the Month

Kristin Kirchner has worked tirelessly to energize the Graham Elementary School PTA and has done it successfully with nothing but a smile on her face. Because she goes above and beyond as a community member to inspire all students to achieve their greatest potential, she is being honored as the October BMO Harris Bank District 204 Volunteer of the Month.
Kristin has three children, a fifth grader at Graham Elementary School and two children that attend Neuqua Valley High School in nineth and twelfth grades. For 13 years she has been very fortunate to volunteer at Graham for all three of her children.
Her nomination states, “Kristin is selfless and is always thinking of others and looking for more ways to help. She has never asked for accolades, thanks, or appreciation.”
She has served as the Graham PTA Executive Board President for two years and has chaired numerous events such as Boys’ and Girls’ Choice, back to school lunches for the teachers and staff and volunteers as a classroom mom. Kristin has coordinated the library volunteer schedule and volunteered in the library on a regular basis. She has helped organize the Graham Gala which raised money to build the outdoor classroom at the school.
Kristin volunteers because being actively involved in the community was always important and she has been able to take advantage of the many great volunteer opportunities that Graham has provided her with. She is fortunate to be in a position where she can volunteer her time and get to help her children, meet her neighbors, and get to know the teachers and staff.
