WINTER SPORTS SEASON-IN-REVIEW
We closed the book on our Winters sports season in late February and I'm extremely proud of our athletes and coaches. Overall, we had one of the best Winters in our 20-year history bringing home two league championships out of the six available. Those titles were in Girls Basketball and Girls Water Polo, with some of our other sports still being in the hunt going into the final week of the season.
On the field, both of our Soccer programs did very well. The Boys ended the season in a 3-way tie for first place, however, they were the odd team out due to the league tiebreakers. Our Girls program finished second in league behind Woodbridge with a fairly young squad and had a strong defense. They played well in the playoffs and were able to advance to the second round before losing on the road to Warren HS.
As we head inside, our Basketball and Wrestling teams had very good results as well. The Boys Basketball program was very competitive beating the eventual league champ, Sage Hill, during the regular season, but did not get a playoff bid. As for our Wrestlers, we've had some individuals perform extremely well through CIF and moved on to the Masters Meet, one of those being Cody Dalebout who finished 2nd overall in his weight class at CIF. The standout from this group was our Girls Basketball program. After winning their league title, they went on to win two playoff games before losing to Lakewood HS in the CIF Quarterfinals.
As stated above, our Girls Water Polo team was also a league champion this year. They went undefeated through league play and also captured the PCL tournament crown this year. Our girls had a great run through the playoffs, advancing to the CIF Semifinals where they lost to Alta Loma HS by a score of 7-6. Congratulations on a great season for Water Polo as well as all of our other Winter Sports.
I'm appreciative of the work our coaches did with these programs as well as the Boosters whom have been extremely supportive. Finally, I want to give an enormous thank you to our student-athletes from our Winter sports for how they competed and represented Beckman High School.

Spring Sports are on!
Per the CIF calendar, our Spring teams were able to begin competitions on Feb. 10 and most have been able to get a few games or matches in thus far. The weather has been a bit of a hinderance, but we're finding ways to get workouts in and reschedule games for our teams. Most of our programs will play through their Spring Break and conclude the regular season in late April with CIF playoffs concluding in the middle of May. We wish all of our Spring sports programs the best of luck this year!
