With the help of generous PTSO grant, visual art students in Art 2 and the National Art Honor Society designed and printed custom t-shirts. The grant helped purchased a heat transfer press and additional equipment needed for the process. After creating the digital designs, the files were sent to a company that printed the art on heat transfer film. The students then transferred their designs with the heat press. This process is great for creating one-of-a-kind garments. Please see photos below.

Seniors:

The Palmetto Fellows Scholarship Late Awarding Period for seniors has begun and continues until June 30, 2024. Students participating in the June SAT or ACT test should notify Ms. Porter ASAP. Ms. Porter will submit application packets for students testing in June and ALL PAPERWORK must be completed before leaving graduation practice. It is the student’s responsibility to send their test scores directly to the S.C. Commission on Higher Education (CHE). CHE’s SAT registration code is 4313 and the ACT registration code is 6326. The CHE will process pending applications and determine finally eligibility once test scores are received.

There will be a cross-country interest meeting on Thursday, May 23, at 6:30pm in the Competition Gym for all parents and athletes interested in participating in Cross Country in the 24-25 school year.

They are 2024 Boys Golf Team State Champions. This is the 18th State Championship for A.C. Flora High School Boys Golf Team. And congratulations to Thomas Lamar & Coleman Ferguson for making All-State!

The Class of 2024 Senior Night will be held tomorrow, Friday, May 17, at 6:30 pm in the AC Flora Competition Gym. ALL seniors and their parents are invited to this annual event that honors the senior class and their accomplishments.

At Senior Night, we will present many awards, honor student achievements, have multiple performances and speeches, hand out cords, stoles, and other graduation regalia, and seniors will receive gifts from AC Flora. Senior attire for this evening should be dressy casual (dress, suit, or nice shirt and pants). Ties are not required, but certainly not discouraged. This event will be nice, but not overly formal.
