Bransford Elementary Mission Statement
To create a positive learning environment for all students that integrates the Arts into Education.
Greetings from Ms. Gerdes
We are in the 2nd semester of the school year and our students are growing as happy learners. I know I am maybe a bit biased but we truly have the absolute kindest, most amazing children at Bransford. They are nice to their peers and respectful to others. They are inclusive and accept others. Thank you for sharing your children with us!
This week is Red Ribbon Week to celebrate healthy choices. Students are invited to join us for special dress up days (below) however it is not a requirement. Most importantly, we want to promote healthy living. Talk to your children about your family's preferences for being active, eating healthy, and limiting technology. We want our Texans to create healthy habits that last a lifetime.
A reminder that our Forget Me Not table is for student needs - ipad/chromebook, lunch, school work. Our Forget Me Not table is not for personal items, snack, or water bottles. Our school is receiving a high volume of items left at home or forgotten which interferes with the learning environment in the classroom. In addition, we are working on building student responsibility for items. When students say 'my mom forgot my water bottle' we remind them that it is their responsibility to get their water bottle and we have water fountains. We appreciate your partnership in building strong, life-long skills.
A huge THANK YOU to our BESt PTA and Dads Club for a fabulous Fall Festival! The weather was beautiful for our Bransford community to gather and have a great time. Thank you to Maggie Taylor and her crew for organizing a great family event!
Have a wonderful week!
All My BESt,
Ms. Gerdes
ps Keep the Shout-Outs coming for our staff. They are LOVING your kind words!
