Graduated in 1886 and entered college at 15 years old
Developed strong interest in philosophy through poetry and other literary works
Became a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority where she was first introduced to psychology
Became first woman to receive a PHD in psychology
Her textbook "The Animal Mind: A Textbook of Comparative Psychology" is seen as her most significant contribution to psychology
The Animal Mind covered a range of mental activities beginning with senses and perception including hearing, vision, kinesthetic and tactual sensation
Came up with "Motor Theory" which focused exclusively on consciousness and the rising view of behaviorism
