Dear Global Leaders Families,

Happy New Year! We hope you had a restful and joyful winter break. As we return for our first full week back, we’re ready to dive into a productive and exciting second half of the school year.

This month, all students will participate in the NYC DOE academic screeners for ELA and Math. This is the second of three screeners given throughout the year, providing an opportunity to measure your child’s academic progress. These assessments help us understand their growth and identify areas for additional support. Please encourage your child to give their best effort and take pride in the progress they’ve made!

As we move into the second half of the school year, we also want to emphasize the importance of consistent attendance. Did you know that maintaining at least 90% attendance means missing no more than 1-2 days per month? Regular attendance ensures students don’t miss critical instruction and stay on track academically. Every day counts, and your partnership in ensuring your child is here, ready to learn, is vital to their success.
