Seventh grade choir students brought Mr. Smith balloons and sang "Happy Birthday" to him on Friday morning during their class.

We hope Mr. Smith enjoyed his birthday on Sunday!

Congratulations to the top WARRIOR point earners for August:

6th grade - Milly Guerrero, Abigail Smitson, Clay Gibson, Wendell Thomas, and Nathan Bell

7th grade - Connor Maschino, Weston Burns, and Kyleigh Peacock

8th grade - Grady Miles, Brayden Combs, Jacob King, and Kyrie Joyce

The WARRIOR store will be open for all students during the week of September 16-20th. Students should listen to the announcements for information about when/where the store will be open.

The first meeting of the school year for the SMS Builders Club will be during lunches on September 10th.

All students are invited to join this service club that is sponsored by the Kiwanis.

If you are interested in art club, please complete and submit this application form by Wednesday, September 11th.

Remember there are only 25 spots available for art club, so put forth your best effort on the application and make sure it is submitted by the deadline.

SMS will be observing Start With Hello week from September 16 - 20.

Students will have an opportunity to participate in activities throughout the week.

Our fall sports season is underway.

Cross country, football, volleyball, soccer, and boys tennis are the SMS fall sports.

Students should listen to the afternoon announcements for information about practices and competitions.

Eventlink is the platform that we use to communicate with parents/family members regarding practices and events.

For those of you who want/need to plan ahead, here are some important dates for the 2024-2025 school year:

October 14-18 - no school

November 5 - eLearning day

November 11 - no school

November 27-29 - no school

December 23-January 3 - no school

January 20 - no school

February 21 - no school

March 24-28 - no school

May 22 - last day of school

The Scottsburg MS student handbook contains some updates for the 2024-2025 school year. Once again, the most significant changes took place in the attendance section.
