5th Grade Abstract Art
5th grade students learned the difference between realistic and abstract art. They drew abstract expressions and labeled them in SeeSaw.
Salford Hills Grown Watermelon!
We enjoyed some sweet juicy watermelon, which was a perfect treat for one of our final days of summer! The watermelon was grown right here at Salford Hills in our C.R.O.P.S. garden. Perhaps you helped during the summer in the garden (Thank you!) or joined us at our summer book & veggie swaps (Yay!), or maybe your child helped plant seeds with their class last spring which grew into the garden produce we enjoyed. In addition to giving watermelon to every single student, we also make weekly donations of produce to Keystone Opportunity Center, a food bank in Souderton, throughout the entire growing season.
Pumpkin Math
2nd grade gets a head start on Fall with some pumpkin math.
4th Grade Science
4th grade continues to investigate the structures and functions of plants. Using celery and food dye, students were able to conclude that vascular systems of plants absorb water and nutrients through tiny tubes called xylem.
Kindergarten Patterns
Our kindergarten students worked hard to make and define different patterns of colors and shapes.
