Here are some important reminders regarding returning to school after testing positive for COVID:

• Students can end isolation after 5 full days if fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication and other symptoms have improved

• Students who have recently tested positive and the nurses are aware, parents and students are explained the above process. When a student returns on day 6, they are to wear a mask for 5 additional days (weekend included). The school nurse will let parents know the exact date that the student can return to school, the date they wear a mask through and will also let them know that they must eat separately from other students until they reach day 10

Good news, spring is finally here! As we prepare for our final push toward the end of the school year, its extremely important students are attending school regularly and putting in maximum effort. During the month of June, all core classes will be giving a final exam. These exams are cumulative and will give our staff critical information on the retention of information provided throughout the year. Students who fail to earn a 65% on any academic course will be offered summer school to prepare for the upcoming school year. Please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions regarding course grades. You can also view your child's grades through the parent portal via E-school.

• Bring a refillable water bottle to school daily
• Wear proper footwear and have a little jacket/hoodie available. Students will go outside for recess daily and our PE teachers plan on being outside as often as possible
• If your child has had a recent health physical, please be reminded to submit the necessary paperwork to your school nurse

I would like to take the opportunity to share with you the schedule for the end of the school year. Students will take their final exams on each day prior to dismissal. Breakfast and lunch will be offered to students daily. Each grade level will have an awards ceremony on one of the following days. More information will be forthcoming at a later date.

In April, we hosted our first fun night since the Fall of 2019. Over 165 students attended the special evening. The staff was so proud of our students. Student behavior was amazing!!! Thank you to all of the staff members who donated their time and efforts to make this event successful.

Starting in July, Corinth Middle School will again be offering a Summer School Program. Summer school will begin on July 11th and conclude on August 11th. Enrichment courses will also be offered throughout the summer.

The goal of summer school is to provide students an opportunity to refine their academic skills while having fun doing it. Transportation will be available for students who qualify. More information will be forthcoming in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
