The Next Two Weeks at a Glance
KPMS Announcements & Reminders
National Unity Day is Wednesday, October 16!
Remember to wear ORANGE on Wed, October 16th!
We are sending a visible message on how building community through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion can prevent bullying.
Together we can create a world without bullying!
More than one out of every five students will be bullied this year. This is probably happening to someone you know and care about.
Last week, students and faculty signed a "Together Against Bullying" pledge poster during lunches. We pledged to
- support others who have been hurt or harmed;
- treat others with kindness;
- be more accepting of people’s differences; and
- help include those who are left out.
Early Release Day - Wednesday, October 16
On Wednesday, October 16, we have an early release day for teacher professional development.

Want to host an exchange student?
Have you thought of hosting an exchange student? Do you have a spare room or bed in a room with a boy between 12-21 that can be shared? Adrian has come to KP for the year and is looking for a host family to share his experience with. He is from Bolivia, actually the highest town in the country! At 17 years old he is the youngest of four siblings and loves his big family. Adrian earned the highest marks on the English test and speaks very well, has won an award for Table Tennis, plays soccer, loves pets (has a little dog at home), and wants to be a chemist after graduation. He likes to attend the theater and expressed interest in working in the drama club this year to learn the "behind the scenes" of theater. He also would like to join a gym to stay active and healthy. He is bringing some family recipes to cook and share and has no allergies or special diet needs.
His favorite American musicians are Green Day, the Beatles, and Nirvana.
Adrian is very excited to be in Massachusetts. He has never traveled outside of Bolivia before. He is in awe of the abundance of trees we have here; his town is very barren. He is open to as many experiences as possible.
Please contact Eileen Cahoon for more information about hosting.
