New Field ES Weekly Updates
Week 30: April 14-18, 2025
PAC Meeting This Week, No School on Friday
Dear New Field families,
I hope you can join us on Thursday, April 17 for a fun, active and full family workshop: Learning Through the Power of Play. You are your first child's teacher and teachable moments abound, even and especially during playtime! There are so many important benefits of play and the goals and learning focus can shift as children age. Our PAC, along with partner organization Urban Initiatives is hosting this month's meeting and we hope to see you there!
I also want to share a quick reminder that there is no school on Friday, April 18. It is a planning day for our school staff. Students return to school as regular on Monday, April 21.
Lastly, you may have noticed that Ms. Briggs, our school clerk, is on a leave of absence. Ms. Briggs had a routine medical procedure and is expected to return before the end of the school year. I hope you can join me in wishing her a speedy recovery! In the interim, we are pleased to welcome our temporary clerk, Kyle Kaporis, who will be working in our main office now until Ms. Briggs' return. Mr. Kaporis will be answering calls, verifying daily student attendance and is our main office and handling many other office responsibilities. Please join me in welcoming Mr. Kaporis to our school community.
Wishing you a great 30th week of school!
Warmly,
Conrey Callahan
Principal, New Field ES

Lifeline Theater Summer Camp
WILD RUCKUS: Building Magic Together through Play
Join us at Lifeline Theatre this summer as we work together to build magical worlds unlike our own as creatures and bugs of the forest. Construct creative characters, build forts, imagine new worlds, and go on theatrical adventures with new friends!
All of Lifeline’s summer camps focus on adapting books into performance pieces. Campers will work as an ensemble, play theatre games, learn and explore different jobs in the theater, and share their final performance piece on the last day of camp.
Scholarships are available to ensure every young person has the opportunity to participate in a Lifeline Theatre summer camp. Email Merissa Stewart for more information on scholarships.
Register for camps online or by calling the box office at 773-761-4477. Register by April 1 for a 15% off discount!
