Breaking news: Thrilled and blessed to introduce Sr. Miriam James Heidland, SOLT as one of our dymanic keynote speakers for #VDH7 this year. VDH7, the gift that keeps on giving!!! She needs no introduction, just google her to see the hundreds of google hits. Below is a quick read if you don't have time to google ;).

Sr. Miriam James was raised in Woodland, WA and is a graduate of the University of Nevada-Reno where she played volleyball on a scholarship and majored in Communications.

Upon graduation, she joined the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT), a missionary community that serves global areas of deepest apostolic need. Sr. Miriam has served at various SOLT missions including Rome, Seattle and Texas. In addition to speaking, her apostolates have included working with elementary school students, parish ministry, coaching high school volleyball and co-hosting a Catholic radio program.

Her story has been featured in the Seattle Times, The National Catholic Register and heard on Relevant Radio, Sirius XM, Catholic Answers Live and EWTN’s The Journey Home and Life on the Rock, as well as at Steubenville conferences, FOCUS’ SEEK conference, the National Catholic Youth Conference, the USCCB Convocation, and various retreats and conferences both nationally and internationally.

Sr. Miriam speaks often on the topics of: Authentic Love and Conversion, Forgiveness and Mercy, The Healing Power of Christ, and The Dignity and Beauty of Woman.

She holds a Master’s degree in Theology from the Augustine Institute and is the author of the book Loved As I Am published by Ave Maria Press.

Thanks be to God!!! Such an incredible and blessed feeling, not to mention an emotional feeling for BTVTU to hold the historic first official meeting (annual BTVTU in-person meeting) at PT's VEYM HQ building before heading to the annual servant leaders retreat.

Dearest Chapter Executive Committees (Ban Chấp Hành Đoàn),

The Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement (Phong Trào Thiếu Nhi Thánh Thể Việt Nam tại Hoa Kỳ) plays a vital role in the promotion of vocations, especially the Call to Religious Life. Over the years, many of our VEYM members have discerned and answered the call to be priests, religious sisters or brothers. In an effort to capture the number of VEYM members who have answered the call to religious life, the National Executive Committee invites you complete a short 3-minute survey to report the number of Chapter members, past or present, who have answered the call to religious life to be priests, religious sisters or brothers. The data gathered from this survey will be invaluable to capture the important contribution of the VEYM to the Catholic Church. Additionally, data collected may be instrumental in promoting vocations and future grants.

Our Youth Leader Committee’s (Khối Huynh Trưởng) have competed the draft for Sổ Khóa Sa Mạc Huấn Luyện Huynh Trưởng Cấp 1 in English and Vietnamese. The Academic Headquarter Chaplains are currently reviewing its contents. The committee is in process of revising Sổ Khóa Cấp 2 Ngành Ấu.

Our first Youth-Leader Trainer (HLV) quarterly meeting is on March 16th, 2020. Youth-Leader Trainers, please check your email for invitation. We hope all can call in to listen, to share ideas, to obtain updates as well as to build companionship. Please contact the academic headquarters if you have not received your email invitation.

The Assessment of Student Academic Performance (ASAP) timeline is here! After piloting the ASAP Benchmark for the first two years, we are proudly entering the 3rd year of its implementation. With a growing need to better understanding our curriculum and progress, the ASAP Benchmark 2019-2020 will kick off in March 2020. All materials will be distributed electronically to the League of Chapters in accordance to the organizational methods of communication. Please contact us via email should you have any questions.
