We had a GREAT month of reading! 📚

Students read lots of books this past month and we are proud of their hard work, but even more grateful for the time you've invested in their learning!

We also want to thank you for showing up at McDonald's last week! Parkwood received a donation of $910.68 and we got to see our school family for dinner! Thank you so much for your support! We are blessed by your commitment to our school community.

Los estudiantes leyeron muchos libros el mes pasado y estamos orgullosos de su arduo trabajo, ¡pero aún más agradecidos por el tiempo que han invertido en su aprendizaje!

We are experiencing an increase in students who arrive late to school. This impacts your child's start of the day, causes interruptions in class, and causes him/her to miss important information and vital instruction time. We are monitoring late arrivals and chronic absences. Please bring your child to school on time and set him/her up for success each day!

Estamos viendo un aumento en los estudiantes que llegan tarde a la escuela; esto afecta el comienzo del día para el estudiante, provoca interrupciones en la clase y su hijo pierde información e parte de la instruccion. Estamos monitoreando las llegadas tarde y las ausencias crónicas. ¡Asegúrese de que los estudiantes lleguen a tiempo y estén preparados para el éxito cada día!

The annual Zoo Field Trips are scheduled for November 19th & 20th.

1st & 2nd grades - November 19th

Pk & K grades - November 20th

Parents MUST have completed the online background check to be able to volunteer/chaperone during this field trip. Parents must pre-purchase their tickets online through the Zoo's website BEFORE the field trip and provide their own transportation. We also ask that arrangements are made for younger siblings as this is an instructional activity.

We will be sending the permission slip home next week and a document with more information soon.

Los padres DEBEN haber completado la verificación de antecedentes en línea para poder ser voluntarios/acompañantes durante esta excursión. También pedimos que se hagan arreglos para los hermanos menores, ya que se trata de una actividad educativa.

Enviaremos el formulario de permiso a casa la próxima semana y pronto un documento con más información.
