Most of the events are for NAMS Class of 2024 students, but please review all of the information since some applies to all students.

Grade 8 Students Present at DESE Civics Action Project Showcase

Mr. McGravey brought 8 of our Grade 8 students presented at the DCU Center in Worcester this week for the annual DESE Civic Action Project Showcase.

The three groups and their projects were as follows:

• Group 1: Parker Dubman and Sree Krishnaa

• Project: Getting Rid of the Grade 10 MCAS Graduation Requirement

• Group 2: Juliette Bene, Serafina Cronan, and Madden Kelley

• Project: Bathroom Policies in North Andover Public Schools

• Group 3: Vivienne Laubner, Isabella Lomaka, and Brendan Cottam

• Project: Creating a Transition Program for Students Coming Back to School After a Leave of Absence

These groups were selected for the strength of their topic selection, research skills, action plan, reflection, and overall performance as judged by local community leaders.

It was an amazing day and all of the NAMS students represented our school and our community well! We are so very proud of each of them.

Hello Current 7th and 8th Grade NAMS Families,

UMass Lowell is excited to share an opportunity for students to attend the RoboXploration robotics camp on the UMass Lowell campus.

What is a robot? Who makes them? You do! Explore all different types of robots and companies that make them. Get hands-on experience exploring engineering design, soft robots, circuits, and software. Take insider field trips to the NERVE Center at UMass Lowell, MassRobotics, and Amazon Robotics.

Sessions are available from June 24-28 or July 22-26, and are offered at no cost to families. Register online (choose "other" under the school options and write in "North Andover Middle School").

Welcome to the summer reading portal for the North Andover Middle School!

NAMS Summer Reading Portal is open!

Here, you will find a whole host of lists, links, and tools to help you decide what to read this summer. Please keep in mind that the books listed on this site are ONLY suggestions. Please feel free to read any book that interests you.

Click on the following grade-level links for specific instructions from your teachers.

• Entering 6th Grade
• Entering 7th Grade
• Entering 8th Grade

NAMS Yearbooks On Sale Now in the NAMS main office for $40 while supplies last!

Checks should be made payable to NAMS in the amount of $40 per yearbook.

Please write the following in the memo line:

• Student’s Name

• Student’s Team

• Student’s Homeroom

This will help us greatly in preparation for distribution on yearbooks.

Yearbooks can also be paid for in cash from one of the administrative assistants in the main office.

Aren't sure if you ordered a book online? Try the following:

• Search your email for a receipt from Herff Jones.
• Search your junk, spam, and promotions folders.

We also decided that yearbook distribution will take place on the following dates:

• Tuesday, June 11th - Distribute to Grade 8

• Wednesday, June 12th - Distribute to Grade 6 & 7

Students Not Attending North Andover in the Fall 2024

If a student will not be attending North Andover Public Schools for the upcoming school year, parents/guardians will need to notify Mrs. Barron as soon as possible by either email or coming into the main office of NAMS. At the end of the school year your student’s records will be forwarded to their new school. Please contact Mrs. Barron with any questions at barronm@northandoverpublicschools.com

Fall 2024 field hockey registration is NOW OPEN!

The field hockey boosters are excited for the year ahead and welcome kids in Grades 1-8 to sign up! Our field hockey academy is designed for players in 1st and 2nd grade to learn the game, while players in Grades 3-8 will continue to develop skills through practice and Sunday games in the Baystate Field Hockey league.
