Central High School Newsletter

Eight CHS students will be participating in a Community Build at Kennedy Elementary. Every Wednesday throughout fourth quarter, students will work alongside professionals from WEB Construction, Knutson Construction, BLK Electric, and Schmidt Window & Siding to build a shed. This hands-on construction experience will give students an opportunity to learn skills such as site preparation, foundation design, framing, siding, and more.

Parent-teacher conferences are an invaluable opportunity for you to connect with your child’s teachers, discuss their progress, and collaborate on strategies to support their learning at home. Attending these conferences allows you to gain insights into your child's academic strengths and areas for improvement. It also gives you a chance to share your observations and concerns, ensuring that we work together to provide the best possible education for your child.

Your involvement is crucial in helping us tailor our programming including, Title I programming to meet the needs of our students. Thank you to everyone who was able to make it to our parent-teacher conferences on March 12!

Starting 4th quarter, 8 students will learn about a different trade every week during our Experiential Learning time. Students will have the opportunity to discover life-long career opportunities, get access to immediate and future jobs, and build/do a project each week!

Starting September 5, 2023, the state of Minnesota started to cover the cost of one breakfast meal and one lunch meal for every student. Due to this, many families have not seen the need to fill out the application for educational benefits form.

It is important that families continue to fill this form out each year. Our school receives additional funding when families qualify for these benefits. Additional funding means more materials more staff, and more resources to meet the needs of your students.

There are two ways to apply:

1. Print, fill out, and return this application to Central High School

2. You can also apply in the Infinite Campus Portal by clicking on the "More" tab and then the "Meal Benefits" tab.

Please consider filling out this application. Funds from these benefits support your child's education.
