New Start and End Times for RSD Schools-- 2024-25
In the coming 2024-25 school year, several RSD schools, including RHS, will have new start and end times. The purpose of these changes is threefold: to improve bus on-time arrivals and departures from schools by shortening bus routes, to support working families in the mornings when there is a lack of alternative childcare for younger students, and to better align school schedules to child and adolescent health and sleep needs.

Students Advocate for Trimet Improvements
During spring break, Reynolds High School students Jorge Cruz Hernandez, Marrylin Ogbonna, and Daniela Valenzuela testified at the Trimet Board meeting to advocate for better public transportation for our school. All three students were provided with an opportunity to speak directly to board members about the challenges many of our students and families face when taking TriMet. Thanks to their efforts, we are excited to announce that TriMet is committed to adding a bus line to our school, as well as increasing the frequency of bus schedules. Join us in thanking these students for representing Reynolds High School and being key players in creating better TriMet services in our community!

Community Partner Spotlight: Campfire
This month, we highlight our community partner, Camp Fire Columbia. Camp Fire has been a staple in our community partner program, serving our students with mentoring, college and career readiness, community building and advocacy. Their dedication to student growth goes beyond the school building, creating opportunities outside of the classroom for students to develop relationships with outside community organizations, businesses, and local colleges and universities. Camp Fire is dedicated to helping our students find their passions and move them towards their next steps after high school.
Thank you, Camp Fire Columbia, for being a long-term partner with Reynolds High School! We are grateful for the work you do with our students and the opportunity to partner with you!
