Academics
The Board of Education has adopted a comprehensive e-Learning plan for 2023-2026, allowing the District to maintain continuity of education if students cannot be physically present due to emergency closures, most commonly caused by inclement weather. During winter months, we collaborate with neighboring school districts to monitor conditions and make timely, informed weather-related decisions whenever possible.
On an e-Learning day, students are expected to log into their learning management system, submit their attendance by 10:00 a.m., and complete learning activities assigned by their teachers. For full details on the District’s e-Learning plan, please visit our Academics page on the District’s website.

Athletics
Congratulations to the women's cross-country team and senior Ryan Hallgren for qualifying for the IHSA Sectional.
At the regional competition, the women ran an incredible team race, fighting for every spot in the second half to secure a team berth at the Schaumburg Sectional.. This is the 5th year in a row that the women have achieved this goal! Seniors Lauren Hamilton, Sofia Gutierrez, and Janalise Jimenez, juniors Rachel Varsek and Juliana Garcia, and sophomores Norah Smith and Alivia Sheets ran one of the best team efforts we have witnessed all season.
On the boy’s side, senior Ryan Hallgren also had an outstanding race, passing multiple runners in the final 400 meters in order to secure an individual spot at the Schaumburg Sectional. This is his first time qualifying in XC!

Jennifer Rickert has been awarded the B.E.E. Innovation Award for her proposal aimed at enhancing music education in our district. Her innovative approach to integrating ForScore, a digital music annotation app, into choir and piano classrooms will revolutionize how students engage with music.
Jennifer’s proposal leverages ForScore to enable real-time sheet music annotation and seamless collaboration through Vivi screen sharing, empowering students to learn, write, and perform music more efficiently. This initiative will significantly support our efforts to improve music literacy and create a more engaging and effective learning experience.
