WINTER MUSIC CONCERT
Please join us at Riverside on Wednesday, December 18 at 6:00PM as our K-3rd graders and Period 0 Yellow Band present "Sounds of the Season: A Winter Concert"! Our scholars in these groups have been working incredibly hard on their singing/performing skills and are so excited to share the results of their hard work with the Riverside community. The concert will start at 6:00PM in the gym and all families are welcome to attend. Please direct any and all questions to Mr. Paul. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there to wrap up the first half of the school year and ring in the start of Winter Break!
OUTDOOR RECESS
As the weather cools down, we want to remind families that outdoor recess will continue whenever it’s above 32°F and skies are clear. Fresh air and active play are essential for students’ health and focus, so please ensure your child is dressed for the weather. Hats, gloves, warm coats, and sturdy shoes are a must to stay comfortable and enjoy the fun. Thank you for helping us keep recess safe and enjoyable for everyone!
ORDERING SCHOOL PICTURES
PTC CORNER
From December 11th to December 18th, our Media Center will transform into a festive Holiday Shop! Scholars are invited to bring a small amount of money (cash only) to browse and purchase thoughtful, affordable gifts for their family and loved ones. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to experience the joy of giving while picking out something special. We can’t wait to see the excitement as our scholars shop for their families and spread holiday cheer! 🎄
The Family First night for December is actually a week long shopping event at the Five Below at Westgate from 12/9-12/13. Families will be getting a flyer to take shopping sent home with their children as well.
NEWS FROM THE DESK OF NURSE UPPERMAN
To help keep our Riverside community healthy and thriving, please keep these important reminders in mind:
- Stay Home if Sick: Scholars should not come to school if they are feeling unwell. Resting at home helps them recover faster and prevents the spread of illness.
- Rest is Best: Make sure scholars are getting plenty of sleep each night to support their learning and overall health.
- Stay Hydrated: Please remind scholars to bring a water bottle to school each day. Staying hydrated helps them stay focused and energized.
- Healthy Eating Matters: Encourage scholars to eat balanced meals and snacks to fuel their bodies and minds.
Thank you for supporting the health and well-being of our scholars!

RIVERSIDE SWAG SHOP
We are opening a Riverside Swag Shop. We will keep it open all year and new items will be added throughout the year. If you have suggestions, please reach out to Ms. Kama-Starr, Mr. Cohen, or Ms. Davis. Please note this is not a fundraiser. We are simply offering this because families have asked about purchasing Riverside items. As items are ordered they will be printed and mailed directly to your home.

ATTENDANCE
- Please call the office (216-838-6700) if your child will not be at school.
- Scholars are tardy after 9:35AM.
- Scholars will not be released early from school without the office receiving communication and consent from a family member in advance. We also ask that scholars are not picked up between 3:00PM - 4:05PM. This is to support our preparations for dismissal.
