Supporting our Community
Over the coming weeks and months, as we look to the future and the rebuilding of communities, we will be supporting a number of initiatives and fundraisers. Please support in any way you can.
We hope to hold a Painting event fundraiser to raise funds for LAFD soon.
Collection Drive
In partnership with our Student Council and S.T.A.R., please donate the items listed in the flyer to support families impacted by the fires. There will be bins by the front office and at the dropoff/pickup gate over the next few weeks.
Support for the Cañas family
A member of our Balboa community, Mrs. Myrna Cañas, lost her home in the Eaton fire on January 8. A longtime educator in LAUSD, Mrs. Cañas taught at Balboa for 24 years as a 4th grade teacher and has been an active volunteer in Mrs. Sherry's and Ms. Hallett's classrooms in the last two years. Her son set up a Gofundme fundraiser to raise financial support for her family's recovery and rebuilding.
