Saddle Up with PRIDE - Week #2🐎
Greetings, STEAM Family:
We’re off to a great start at SDE! In order to ensure that our year continues to flow smoothly, please note the following friendly reminders:
• All car riders MUST be dropped off in the rear of the building near the cafeteria. Please be sure to use the correct entrance labeled for car riders. The front of the building is reserved for buses and visitors to the office ONLY.
• Breakfast will be served to our students daily from 7:30 am – 8:00 am. Upon entry, students will go to the cafeteria prior to transitioning to their HR classroom.
• Students are expected to arrive to school on time. Students are considered tardy after 8:15 am. We encourage you to have your child here no later than 8:00 a.m. Five tardies and/or early dismissals are considered as one (1) unexcused absence.
• With the exception of emergency situations, no EARLY DISMISSALS will be allowed after 2:30 pm. Parents/guardians who arrive after 2:30 pm will need to report to the car rider dismissal area in the rear of the building.
• Please make sure that your child is in dress code daily. THE DRESS CODE WILL BE ENFORCED DAILY @ SDE – NO EXCEPTIONS.
We're looking forward to another awesome week @ SDE. Who are we?.... (You know the rest!)
Daily Reminders for SDE!
ATTENDANCE MATTERS - Parents, please make sure your child maintains regular attendance and arrives to school in a timely manner. Students are tardy at 8:15 am. Five (5) tardies and/or early dismissals count as one (1) unexcused absence. Student attendance will be a part of criteria used to determine eligibility for school-wide celebrations. Remember, every minute really counts!
- Weekly grade level newsletters will be sent home each Monday, so please check your child's folder and/or book bag.
- All book bags must be CLEAR or MESH.
- The dress code will be enforced DAILY at SDE! Any "Dress Down" days will be communicated in advance. Repeated dress code violations will result in students becoming ineligible to participate in school-wide and/or classroom PRIDE celebrations and events! Please make sure your child adheres to the required dress code. Remember, the P in PRIDE stands for "Personal Responsibility".
