Doc Talk
Are you kidding me?! We are really done with week 5 already! This hexter has flown by...
We are excited about the opportunities that we have to work with your students here at Discovery. We are looking forward to our next family and community engagement event! Last night we had our first event where we Taco'd 'Bout It with graduating seniors about requirements and overall Title 1 Status information. If you missed this event and would like some information, please open the link in our "Helpful Links" section of this week's newsletter.
Please remember that next Tuesday from 5pm-6pm is hexter 2 orientation for incoming foundations students! It is mandatory to start your journey at Discovery!
I would like to share that we received information from the state regarding our school performance framework. We meet standards in academic achievement and engagement, and we are approaching standards in academic growth and post-secondary workforce readiness.
We plan to continue to provide educational opportunities for students to reach their goals and find success! As a bonus, we have decreased the dropout rate by 2.2%, and we look to further decrease that number in the future.
We are gearing up for hexter 2! We have a special event in store that includes going to Denver for a Hamilton Broadway Show. Attendance for all students is mandatory! More information is to come on this event.
Thank you for all that you bring to our school and culture here at Discovery. Have a great weekend!
