A Note From the Principal

Greetings,

All of us at Mable Woolsey are working hard to get the school ready for students. We are so excited for an amazing 2024-2025 school year!

I am so excited to be a part of the Mable Family this year as Principal! I look forward to seeing the beautiful faces of the kiddos in just a few short days! I'm also honored to be working together with our families and community to support our kiddos and help them grow.

Important Dates

Aug. 12: Backpack Night! 5:30pm-6:30pm

Aug. 14: First Day of School for all grades, including Pre-K!

Starting the School Day

The official school day is 8:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Students will be considered tardy if they arrive after 8:15 a.m. Thank you for your help in ensuring your kiddo arrives at school on time. If your student does arrive after 8:15 a.m. please enter the office to sign them in. If your student needs to be absent please phone our attendance line at 309.289.4134.

Students can enter the building at 7:45 a.m. When students enter the building they can proceed to the gym or the cafeteria for breakfast then onto the gym.

Bus Riders

The bus riders typically arrive at 7:40 a.m. They will be allowed to enter at that time and eat breakfast if they choose. Bus riders will wait in the cafeteria until 7:45 then proceed to the gym.

Entering School in the Mornings

There are two points of entry for students in the morning: 1) The main entrance doors on the north and 2) The east doors where the bus rider will enter near the gym.

Vehicle Drop Off

The vehicle drop off lane is located on the north side of the building. Do not park and leave your vehicle unattended in this lane. Also, when in the drop off lane, please stay in your vehicle. There will be MW staff members who will help your student(s) get out of the vehicle. I ask that you observe taking turns at the intersection of Pleasant and Jackson whether coming from the south on Jackson or the north. When exiting the drop off lane you will turn east onto Pleasant, which is one-way during drop off. If you arrive in the drop off lane before the north doors open at 7:45 a.m., please be sure you are waiting at the entry to the circle drive. This will allow our staff to set up cones and spacing before cars pull forward. Once we open the doors, our staff will be waiting at a cone for you to pull up to then we will unload your kiddo(s).
