We're so proud of our performers! On April 17, our non-competitive performance groups and classes took the stage for their annual showcase and wowed the audience! Dance Jam, Irish Step, Ballet Repertory Ensemble, Ballet Variations, and Junior Ballet Ensemble showed us their amazing range of talents and passions. Congratulations dancers!

On Friday, June 6, 2025, Dance It Up's performance group, Dance Jam, will be performing at the Worcester Bravehearts baseball game! We invite you to join us to cheer on the members of Dance Jam and the Bravehearts, too! Tickets are $10 and must be purchased in advance to receive this group rate. Tickets include seating in a Dance It Up! reserved section. What a fun and fabulous family activity to celebrate the start of summer! Please use the QR code to purchase your tickets directly from the Bravehearts. The Bravehearts play at Fitton Field on the College of the Holy Cross campus so there is plenty of free parking, too! See you at the ballgame!

We invite you to attend one of our Recital Information Meetings at the studio to learn about what to expect on dress rehearsal and recital days. We'll go over the Ready for Recital Checklist and answer any questions you have! The meetings are scheduled during our Intro to Dance classes, but any parents with questions are welcome to attend. We want you and your dancer to have a fun and stress free recital experience!

Meetings will be held in the Lower Waiting area:

• Tuesday, May 13, 5PM
• Thursday, May 15, 5PM
• Saturday, May 17, 10AM

Our Spring Recital performance attracts families from Grafton, Millbury, Whitinsville, Sutton, Shrewsbury, Westboro, Northborough and the surrounding communities, making our program a great opportunity for you to advertise your business. Business Ads come in a variety of sizes, allowing you to pick one that works best for you!

We also offer Personal Messages in our program. This is a great way to express to your dancer how proud of them you are, and it also makes a great keepsake from the performance. Your message is limited to 200 characters and the cost is $25.

The final deadline for both is MAY 10th.

• Make recital day even easier on yourself! Dancers in multiple shows will need a lunch to eat at the performance venue between shows. You can order ahead with us and have lunch delivered to your dancer from Bushel 'N Peck.
• The traditional gift of flowers for performers is made extra special for your dancer with a beautiful bouquet, including a custom wand, and extra convenient for you with pick up at the show - don't wait to order! We always sell out of flowers BEFORE the performance day.
• Stressed out by bun making? Our Hair Kits have everything you need to make a beautiful performance bun, all in a reusable tin. Stop into Sugarplums for an order form and we'll create your custom kit.
• Performance gifts like necklaces, jewelry boxes, stuffies, books, or Dance It Up! swag are great ways to commemorate the dancer's growth and accomplishments. When you shop for your recital gift at Sugarplums, we'll wrap it in Sugarplums style and deliver to the venue so you can present it after the show!

Save the date for your special Party Class event! The Party Class is on the same day as your regular Dance 'N Play® class - on Saturday, June 14, at 9:00am.
Dance 'N Play® dancers are also welcome to attend our recital costume photo day, Saturday, June 7, at Sutton Memorial High School.

We are excited to invite dancers from DIU and the surrounding communities, grades kindergarten and up, to participate in our annual holiday tradition, “Not Just Nutcracker.” The dancers will tell the story of Tchaikovsky's beloved Nutcracker ballet, with classical and modern arrangements of the music to include jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, and acro dancers too! If you've seen the ballet before, you're in for a surprise. Even if you have seen Dance It Up's production, each year there's always something new to discover and enjoy! Because of the many genres of dance and music we include in these unique productions, and also because of the creative twists the show takes each year, we lovingly call it "Not Just Nutcracker". We hope you'll consider joining our Nutcracker family! Auditions take place June 11 and rehearsals begin on September 6. Find more information and register at www.danceitup.com/nutcracker

Students must be registered for fall classes to participate in auditions on June 11th.

All dancers entering kindergarten and up are invited to join the Nut Just Nutcracker cast for 2025.

We are hosting a pizza party at the studio on May 9 from 5:30-7:30pm, where dancers can relive their time on the stage or learn more about our show. Bring a pillow and blanket; pajamas are encouraged! We'll watch the 2024 production and learn a dance from the show.

The viewing party will be followed by a Q&A at 7:15pm for dancers and parents where you can learn more about registering, auditioning, casting and schedules. This is a great opportunity to find out everything you need to know before the auditions on June 11. We kindly ask that you register for this event by May 8th.

Registration for the 2025-2026 dance season is open! We offer a Paid In Full tuition discount of 7% for families dancing less than 4 hours per week. This payment is due no later than May 31, 2025 and must be paid by ACH or check.

Brand new camp themes, classes for multiple genres and ages, and new one-day mini camps that follow our fabulous Friday Night Party format - there is something to keep everyone dancing this summer! Summer is also a great time to try something new, or to invite a friend to join you at Dance It Up this summer!

Recital is approaching, spring sports are in full swing and the school year is coming to a close! With so much to do, we are here to help you accomplish it all.

• Gift wrapping is always complimentary and we love to do it for you! Whether its a recital gift for your dancer or a birthday party gift you need today, we'll have it wrapped and ready to present.
• For our recital performers, now is a great time to check shoes for wear and fit! Ballet dancers not performing in pointe or demi-pointe shoes are required to have leather slippers for the show (canvas class shoes are not permitted). While most sizes and styles are in stock, please leave time for special ordering if new shoes are required.
• All recital dancers will pick up new tights for the show at the end of dress rehearsal on June 7. Tights worn at dress rehearsal must be the correct color for each costume and in excellent condition as pictures taken at dress rehearsal are used for in studio artwork and promotional materials.
• Dancers with more than one costume are required to have a skin tone camisole leotard to wear under costumes. This foundation is available in beige and mocha skin tones.
