Dear 6th grade families,
We hope this message finds you well. As we approach the midpoint of the first quarter, the 6th Grade Team at W.E.B. DuBois Academy would like to invite you to attend a Family-Teacher Conference. This is a wonderful opportunity to discuss your child’s progress, achievements, and any areas where additional support may be needed. We are excited to invite you to our first-ever Student-Led Conference (SLC) on September 30th, 2024 from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm in the library. This is a unique opportunity for your child to take the lead in discussing their academic progress and goals.
During the SLC, your child will share their accomplishments, challenges, and future aspirations. They will also have the chance to ask questions and receive feedback from their teacher. We believe that this student-centered approach will foster a deeper understanding of your child's learning and help them develop important communication skills.
