Google Summer Refresh
New to using Google in your classroom, looking for a Google refresher, or ready to start getting your materials and Classroom ready for the school year? Join this 6-session professional learning series! In the first 5 sessions of this series, you will work at your own pace (asynchronous) in our Teach:able platform. On August 17th come to the Google Lab to ask your questions face to face. No set topics, just a time for you to work side by side with the EdTech Specialist and other peers. We may even have some fun tips and tricks to share along the way. Choose a ½ day AM or PM session. Completion of all 6 session = 8 SCECHs
Any Lenawee County teacher that completes all 6 sessions
will be put into a drawing for a Chromebook!

Power-Up Teaching and Learning
The Power-Up Teaching and Learning Series is a 3-year series designed to meet the needs of new teachers or teachers that may just be looking for some new tools/resources for the classroom. Each course also has an emphasis on integrating technology use and tools in the classroom.
Topics discussed: Effective Communication, Learning Environment, Meaningful Data, Digital Leadership, and Curriculum and Content.
SCECHs = 14+ per year with the possibility of in-classroom coaching.

REMC Esports Institute
REMC Association is providing a new opportunity for schools/districts interested in starting or growing their Esports program. The REMC Esports Institute will guide school or district teams through developing a personalized, long-range (three years) implementation plan to build or expand student access to esports. The goal is to capture all interested students through multiple pathways and ensure inclusion into this engaging and competitive learning opportunity.
This institute is appropriate for new or veteran programs and will support the creation of a clear and concrete communication plan and steps to provide a welcoming esports school culture. Attached is a one-page flyer with more detailed information regarding this upcoming event.
Cybersecurity Symposium
MACUL and CDW for Education along with our partners in the cybersecurity landscape are working to bring a symposium-style event featuring both sessions, product demos, and networking with colleagues for full immersion in the challenges and best practices for creating the safest schools possible.
TI-Nspire Training
In the full-day face-to-face training of the TI-Nspire calculator you will learn about the basic functions of the calculator as well as computer-integration, navigator integration, and screencasting ideas.
The afternoon portion of the training will focus on lesson plan integration and ideas for lessons including the TI-Nspire calculator. If you have your own TI-Nspire, please bring it with you to the training. If you need a calculator to use to participate in the training, the LISD will make one available to you. Lunch will be provided.
Accelerate Learning Through Assessment
Want to enhance your assessment process in your classroom next year? Karen Rayner, LISD Instructional Data Services and John Hill, LISD Curriculum Consultant will take you down the journey of why might we assessing, what might we assess in the classroom, how might are we assess, and how do we know we have assessed properly. This is for any grade level and subject level! This also has an opportunity for follow-up throughout the year with additional SCECHs.

Consulting and Resources- Provide an opportunity for a brainstorming session to bounce ideas off of one another. Hunt for resources and activities to match the needs of your school or classroom.
Team Teaching Experience-After planning cooperatively, teach a lesson together involving an innovative idea, technology, STEAM, or makerspace.
Co-planning-Collaboratively plan a lesson or series of lessons that use technology, innovative idea, STEAM or makerspaces, and meets best practice.
Demonstration Lesson-Demonstrate a makerspace or STEAM activity, or a piece of technology in your classroom while you observe.
Classroom Engagement and Customization Support-Help design and implement engagement activities and design technology choice assignments or tiered activities.
New Teacher Support- Assist new teachers in topics such as classroom management, classroom engagement, innovative teaching ideas, understanding and handling student behaviors, how to manage stress, mentor/mentee relationships, curriculum expectations, and network support.
