Principal's Message
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Remembrance Day Ceremony. Special thanks to Mr. Jones for his moving trumpet performances of the Last Post and Reveille, and to Tanner, Frances, Terra, and Lexie for their invaluable help in the ceremony. Our students did an exceptional job presenting and thoughtfully reflecting on the significance of Remembrance Day.
Congratulations to our boys' and girls' volleyball teams who represented us at Zones in Westlock on Tuesday! They had an exciting day with many impressive rallies. Special thanks to Mrs. DeLeeuw and Mrs. Kennedy for their dedication in coaching the teams.
The Fa La La La Fundraiser has returned! Forms went home today with the youngest child in each family and are also available in the office and attached below.
Yellowhead Central Santa’s Anonymous applications are now available for families in need this holiday season. Forms can be found in the office and library, with a submission deadline of December 1st. Rest assured, only two executive members will review the provided information.

Picture Prompt Writing
The 2/3 class has been sharpening their writing skills with an exciting picture prompt activity! Students were given a photo and asked to describe what they thought each of the five senses would experience in the scene. By imagining the sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and textures in the picture, they learned how to bring their writing to life and make it more vivid and engaging. This creative exercise helped them explore descriptive language in a fun and immersive way.
Class Store
On Tuesday, the 4/5 class was excited to have their class store open! Each student earns a “wage” for completing their job that benefits their classroom or school, tracking their earnings and expenses in a ledger. About once a month, they get the opportunity to spend their hard-earned funds on items from the store. For those wanting to save up, larger-ticket items like a class ice cream party or an all-day outdoor adventure are also available as rewards. This experience not only adds fun to their routine but also gives students valuable practice with real-world financial skills like budgeting, saving, and decision-making.
