4th Grade Musical: December 14th @6pm

*updated 12/4/23- 4th grade students will wear red shirts and jeans.

🎶🎵We are so excited to have all of our 4th graders perform in the musical! Please have students wear a red shirt and jeans that evening. Students will go to the music room at 5:30.🎵🎶

WHAT ARE WE LEARNING THIS WEEK?

ELAR- We will describe how the author's use of imagery, literal and figurative language such as simile and metaphor, and sound devices such as alliteration and assonance achieves specific purposes (4.10D)

We will explain structure in drama such as character tags, acts, scenes, and stage directions (4.9C)

Math- We will represent data on a frequency table, dot plot, or stem-and-leaf plot marked with whole numbers and fractions (4.9A)

*Wednesday Test over Fractions

Science- We will Identify and classify Earth's renewable resources, including air, plants, water and animals, and nonrenewable resources including coal, oil, and natural gas, and the importance of conservation (4.7C)

*Tuesday Test over Non-Renewable and Renewable Resources

Social Studies- We will identify Texas' role in the Mexican War of Independence and the war's impact on the development of Texas (4.2D)

Field Trip!

Our 4th grade field trip will be in May. We are starting to organize our trip to the Perot Museum. If you have a School Cash account set up, you should receive an email about the field trip. The field trip will cost $8 per student, payable in School Cash. We will send home more information in the Spring.
